1. General

For Sheridan College registered students to have an exam proctored outside Sheridan College, the following are the guidelines to facilitate this.

The student and the proctoring location must be located more than 100 Km. from any of the two Sheridan College Campuses in Brampton and Oakville at the time of the exam.

Requests for exam proctoring should be emailed to Sheridan Online Co-ordinator  with your name, ID, course name and an explanation for your request.

2. In the Province of Ontario

The student and the proctoring location must be located more than 100 Km. from any of the 22 OntarioLearn Member Colleges at the time of the exam, otherwise the exam must be proctored at one of the Member Colleges in Ontario.

3. Outside the province of Ontario

The teaching or learning institution may be located outside the Province or outside Canada's borders, as long as final exams can be couriered to Sheridan College within a few days, using as an example Ups, or FedX.

The student must contact and get acceptance from a teaching or learning institution, that has accepted to proctor the exam.

A person from the chosen institution, at the level of Faculty Dean or equivalent, must contact us with a brief description of the institution's capabilities to proctor the exam, and the contact name of the person who will actually proctor the exam.

New locations are being added to the proctor list when they become available or when a new location has been chosen by our students. 
 

4. Approval Sequence

Following our approval of the institution and the person, we will forward the Sheridan College proctoring documentation together with the exam for the required date.

All required expenses to be paid to the proctoring institution, and to mail the test as registered mail back to Sheridan College, must be paid by the student.
