New and Returning Student Checklist

Step 1

Pay your fees by the date noted on your invoice.

Paying your fees on time secures your spot in your program and avoids late payment charges. For fee payment information, visit our 2010-2011 Guide to Sheridan Fees and Financial Aid.

NOTE: If you've applied for OSAP, you have the option to pay $300 by your fee deadline and defer (postpone) your fee payment until you pick up your OSAP funding.

Returning Students - Considering paying your tuition fee late? Be aware and informed of all the implications of that decision.

Step 2

Apply for Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).

You are encouraged to apply for OSAP as it may increase your eligibility for other financial assistance (even if you decide not to take the funding available from OSAP). You can apply online at http://osap.gov.on.ca/. Verification and processing may take 4-6 weeks. Apply early!

Step 3

New Students Only: Apply for entrance bursaries/awards.

Entrance bursaries and awards provide you with money that does not have to be repaid. You should visit our Sheridan Student Assistance Programs website to review eligibility and fast approaching deadlines

 Step 4

Start researching your financial aid options now.

The earlier you learn about your funding options, the better prepared you'll be to meet your college expenses. Review your financial aid options regularly on our Sheridan Student Assistance Programs and our Academic Awards and Scholarship websites
