Sheridan’s Esthetician diploma program equips you to perform the entire range of professional esthetician services offered in today’s salons and spas. You’ll get hands-on experience every day in our 2 dedicated state-of-the-art labs, learning to provide:
  • Facials
  • Waxing
  • Body treatments
  • Manicures and pedicures
  • Specialized services such as micro-dermabrasion and non-therapeutic massage
The esthetician program goes beyond the training you receive from other esthetician colleges and courses to encompass skills you need to build a successful business, such as sales promotion, product evaluation and business management. You will also learn to analyze and evaluate spa products and ensure that a spa or salon maintains the highest standards of hygiene.

You learn through:
  • Spa trips to experience what it's like to be a client
  • Hands-on experiential learning in the lab - a full 50% of class time
  • Our on-campus studio "A Touch of Esthetics" where you perform services on other students and clients in a state-of-the-art esthetics spa
  • Classroom discussions and demonstrations

Field Practica Give Real-World Experience

Both in your first and second years, you will take part in a 40-hour field placement in a skincare centre or spa. This real world experience is an asset once you’ve completed your esthetician diploma and are ready to enter the job market.

"One of the reasons I chose Sheridan's Esthetician Program was because of their clinic, 'Touch of Esthetics'.  Working one-on-one with clinic clientele gave us the ability to develop our technical and interpersonal skills.  Because of this experience, I am employed by a top spa in Toronto."
Angela Cashel, 2003 Graduate
Silver Medal Winner, Dermalogica
Professional Conduct Award Winner

Sheridan’s Esthetician graduates have a stunning 100% satisfaction rate from employers. When you complete your two-year Esthetician diploma program, you’ll be ready to open your own salon business or hold a position in a:
  • Day or resort spa
  • Skin care center
  • Salon on cruise ship or in a hotel or resort

You will be qualified to hold positions such as:
  • Consultant
  • Educator
