Motion Picture Camera Assistant Workshops
Includes RED ONE™ Camera technology.
Sheridan is proud to be the authorized and official trainer for the Motion Picture Camera Assistant Workshops developed and taught in collaboration with I.A.T.S.E. Local 667.
"I highly recommend this course for any would-be camera assistant. Lots of great advice in a short time."
The workshops cover blocking, rehearsals, marking an actor, camera testing, aspect ratios and various camera systems using 16mm, 35mm and High Definition technology.
Taught on consecutive weeks, the courses are intended to be taken as a combined unit.
The curriculum is delivered in a variety of demonstrations, lectures, and hands-on in-studio and outdoor work, and on-set visits. The fees include the I.A.T.S.E. 667 Camera Assistant Manual, a practical guide developed by I.A.T.S.E. 667 professionals specifically for camera crews.
Although completion of these courses does not guarantee a seat in the I.A.T.S.E. Local 667 Camera Trainee Program, graduates from Sheridan's workshops will be given priority if they elect to participate in the Training Committee screening process. Twelve of the 15 recent trainees accepted had completed Sheridan's workshops.
