Help with English and Math
The more successful you are as a student, the better your prospects for getting a successful start on your career. If you feel like your marks are not reflecting your efforts, then perhaps you can use a little help! How can The Career Centre help?We have tutors tutors available to help you with your writing and verbal expression, and with math. Complete details on their services are below. They can also help you with study skills such as time management, note-making, and test preparation. - Appointments (½ hour) are available Monday-Friday, between 9-5. Visit the Career Centre to sign up for a time that suits you.
- Drop-ins take place daily in the Learning Commons, times below.
- You can book up to 2 sessions/day and up to 3 sessions/week.
- There is no cost or cap on total usage.
- Failing to cancel a booked appointment may affect your opportunity to access services or to book future appointments.

Our English tutor can help you improve the effectiveness of your spoken and written expression, including essays, assignments, and presentations. The tutor will not proofread your entire work but will review it for structure & grammar and offer constructive feedback on how to clearly your ideas are coming through. if you're not sure where to start on an assignment or essay, the tutor can help you clarify and organize your writing. The tutor can also help with research and bibliographic documentation. International ESL students can also get assistance with speaking and conversational skills.

- Davis Campus - tutor availability (summer semester): Mondays 11:30-4:30 & Wednesdays 11:30-4:30. Book appointment by visiting the Career Centre (B219) or drop-in during above times if no appointment in progress.
Our math tutor can help you with general math, most business math topics (e.g., finance, statistics, etc.), as well as many technical math and related topics. Talk to the tutor about your needs. The tutor will not do your work for you but is there to provide explanations of concepts and patiently help you problem solve your way to finding solutions and understanding your subject better.
